Who Needs to Access the Platform:
Employees Driving for Business Purposes:
- Employees who are driving company vehicles or their personal vehicles for JnJ business purposes need to access the CEPA Mobility platform.
- This includes completing necessary training, such as Behind the Wheel (BTW) training, and ensuring their Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is up to date (if they are US based). If they are based in the UK, they must complete the available documents and training.
Authorized Drivers:
- Spouses or partners of JnJ employees who are authorized to drive the employee’s vehicle for business purposes also need to access the platform. They must complete required training and submit their driver’s license information.
Newly Hired Employees or Employees Transitioning to Roles Requiring Driving:
- Employees who are newly hired or moved into roles that involve driving for business purposes need to register on the platform, submit their driving information, and complete necessary training.
Who Does Not Need to Access the Platform:
Employees Not Driving for Business Purposes:
- Employees who do not use a vehicle for business-related travel are generally not required to access the platform. If they do not drive at all or drive only for personal reasons unrelated to work, they would not need to engage with the car allowance system or CEPA Mobility.
Employees Transitioning Out of Roles Involving Driving:
- Employees who have moved into roles that no longer require them to drive for business purposes are usually removed from the system. They are not required to maintain platform access or update their driving information.
Summary
- Employees and authorized drivers who use vehicles for JnJ business purposes must access the CEPA Mobility platform.
- Those who do not drive for work-related reasons, or who are transitioning out of driving roles, typically do not need to use the platform.
- Special cases like Canadian authorized drivers are waiting for platform availability.
